Biography
Waheed Rathore is a banking professional with over 25 years of multi-geography experience.
As Compliance practitioner he has held Regional, Group & Global positions with multinational & local banks including Citibank, ABN AMRO, Dubai Islamic Bank & Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. He has also headed Banking Supervision at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). He has recently taken up the role of Global Chief Compliance Officer at HBL.
As a thought leader in the Compliance & Financial Crime space, Waheed has spearheaded green field and turnarounds at the named organizations. He has also been instrumental with the digitalization and innovation transformations in banking.
Waheed has diverse exposure to Governance by way of his various Board positions as Independent Non-Executive Director. He holds MBA from INSEAD and MSc in Finance & Financial Law from University of London.
